Viewing digital photos is quick and easy — so if there’s a pose that doesn’t flatter, RETAKE! Sure, it can be annoying for the person who is taking the photograph because they will have to stand there taking multiple pictures while you make various efforts to look good, but you will always end up with a worthy profile pic!

1. Stand contrapposto (definition: The position of a figure in painting or sculpture in which the hips and legs are turned in a different direction from that of the shoulders and head; the twisting of a figure on its own vertical axis.)
