Hilary Swank looks set to be the next celebrity to try her hand at the fashion business. The two-time Academy Award winner has been working with the DMA Designers Management Agency, developing a concept for an apparel collection with an athletic bend.
DMA co-founder Marc Beckman said Swank initially thought about a T-shirt line that “provided motivation and inspiration,” but given her athletic background — Swank used to be competitive gymnast — it quickly evolved into a line with an sporty bent. “Our platform is a contemporary, outdoor, athleisure brand,” Beckman said.
Like the reported deal between Amar’e Stoudemire and Rachel Roy, which DMA put together, the agency and Swank are interviewing fashion designers to partner with the actress on designing the collection.[WWD]
