Just in time for June, Barneys is ringing in the summer heat with a total facelift of barneys.com. Yesterday, a soft launch of the site was rolled out, but Monday is when all of the new exciting features go live.
Celebrities, fashion personalities and other tastemakers will become regulars on the site (like stylist Leslie Fremar and Katie Holmes’ co-designer Jeanne Yang). New tabs have also been created including: Most Loved, which gives you the scoop on the most trending items and our favorite, The Window, which gives you your daily editorial dose of art, lifestyle, culture and fashion news that’s related to Barneys.
In addition to incorporating tastemakers and unique updates, the site has also taken on an innovative spin. In collaboration with digital agency Huge, Barneys has cleaned up the aesthetic of the site so it’s easier for you to find, snag and share items. If you see something you like and want to send it to a friend, just ‘favorite’ an item and you can share it in seconds on Facebook, Twitter, The Fancy or Pinterest. What’s nice about this tool is barneys.com will store your favorite picks list and use it to recommend pulls for you - almost like your very own personal shopper. Daniella Vitale, General Merchandise Manager of barneys.com, had this to say about it. “With the list and things that you favor — it could be a designer, it could be a shoe — we will be able to tell your shopping patterns and recommend anything from a shoe size to a brand.”
