Viawear‘s Tyia is bridging the gap between fashion and technology by creating a sleek device focused on delivering customizable notifications. The creators wanted to design something “gorgeous from the inside out.”
How is Tyia doing this? Developed by Viawear, Tyia is a concept still in beta mode that enables you to receive notifications like phone calls or messages through jewellery. The jewellery has sensors linked to the cellphone which will alert the owner if they are away from their phone. This is done by synchronizing the Tyia mobile app to the phone.
But that’s not all, by using the mobile app you can determine what notification you feel is the most important with the use of different colours and vibrations. Tyia lets you increase the intensity and pattern of the vibration or colour, making it easy to know how important the notification is. Tyia takes this even further by allowing you sync other apps to the bracelet.
The bracelets are neutral in their look and designed for everyday wear. The collection includes genuine leather bands and Rhodium or 18K Gold plating. Every Tyia displays a semi-precious quartz or Blue Topaz, which is the motherboard of phone call alerts.
Viawear has priced the Tyia Gold Edition at $269 as its pre-order price, and the silver edition at $239. You can pre-order one for yourself by hopping on over to Viawear’s website.
