MADE is a year-round, dynamic platform that connects emerging talent in fashion, music, art and culture with visionary brand partners. It brings together some of Los Angeles top designers and brands for a two-day fashion and music event, celebrating creativity and individuality.
This year, MADE LA tapped into the high fashion and independent fashion scene. But, the influence of music also made an appearance; Tyler, The Creator not only dropped new tunes but debuted GOLF, the Golf Wang clothing collection. The event was star-studded and paired with some of the LA fashion scene influencers such as Josephine Pearl Lee aka Princess Gollum and Palma Wright of Hateboy2. Making killer appearances at the fashion shows included: Solange Knowles, Kanye West, Kendall Jenner, Katy Perry and Toronto-based Beckerman Sisters posing for Moschino.
While the event had a festival feel, the space was really a platform for independent designers to showcase collections ranging from apparel to footwear. Sustainable brands such as Valfre, HBA, Freak City and MOSAERT were also apart of the line-up.
Emerging eco-conscious brands such as Simi Miro Vintage debuted a collection of up-cycled sheer and denim tops; HBA aka Hood By Air presented a motion aesthetic piece; Golf Wang debuted in true T.L.O.P fashion, music and show, the aesthetic was street prep skater gear. Jeremy Scott for Moschino presented a groovy resort 2017 collection, 70’s inspired, a psychedelic dream, with a cameo from Devon Aoki, which was epic!
MADE LA was the festival to attend, the perfect marriage of fashion and music paired with celebrities, social media influencers and tastemakers. If you missed the live streams of #bts and festival fun, check out the below.
