Balmain is collaborating with Kanye West for a motion-filled digital editorial featuring #BALMAINWOLVES. With a killer fall 2016 collection which slayed #PFW this year, creative head Olivier Rousteing is back with a collaboration featuring artistic fashion photographer Steve Klein and editorial director Pascal Dangin for a music video inspired campaign. Klein is known for his crisp photography and emotionally driven works, the full editorial is shot in black and white paired with in-motion style photography.
The editorial stars Kanye and Joan Smalls with a cast of army models. The cover stars of the ad are featured in the decadent fall 2016 collection, and appear to be falling into each other. Kanye is draped in a Balmain encrusted jacket and distressed denim, the understated look is rich yet effortless. A similar look was also worn by Kanye at this year’s Met Gala, Manus x Machina, which focused on futuristic/tech wearable fashion.
Joan is rocking the soft pink lace and ruffle fitted jumpsuit, which is one of the most exquisite pieces from the collection. Crafted to perfection this jumpsuit is a autumn staple and a complete look. We can’t wait to see these looks in full motion!
