H&M is closing the loop with their newest “jeanious” conscious collection.
H&M has truly committed themselves to sustainability and ethical practices. We’ve seen this global retailer create space for sustainability through recycling and their H&M Conscious collection.
One of their most popular initiatives to date is World Recycle Week. Through this initiative H&M has collected over 200 tons of clothing and has helped ensure longevity of clothing.
This October it’s about sustainability and denim vintage style. H&M launches its fourth Close the Loop Denim Collection. The limited edition capsule collection of six pieces contains recycled cotton fibres, gathered from their recent Garment Collecting Initiative.
Based on a vintage aesthetics, there are three styles of jeans, a midi-skirt, wide-leg overalls and an oversized jacket.
“Inspired by the return of vintage denim on the streets and social media, our aim is to capture the sentimentality of much-loved denim pieces but put a thoroughly modern twist on it. And, of course, we’re thrilled that the whole collection contains recycled cotton,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.
