Tech Thursdays: Orphe

By Francesca Castor on April 16, 2015

Fresh off of SXSW 2015, no new folk studio Inc. has designed shoes geared towards performers titled, Orphe. Equipped with 100 LED lights in each sole, the shoes light up and play music, while being controlled with an accompanying smart phone app.

Orphe was created with dance performers in mind to enhance fancy footwork. The shoes currently comes in two colors, white and black, but the soles are the heart of the product. While it is still in its early production stages, it is seeking further funding through Indiegogo. Whether you are a performer or not, you can’t deny the irresistible appeal of this pair of dancing shoes. It’s a great mesh of music, technology, and footwear.
