Award Show Infographics: Cannes Film Festival vs The Oscars

By Nicole Ballantyne-Choo on May 22, 2015

As the Cannes Film Festival comes to an end this weekend, STYLIGHT created a funny and colourful infographic to highlight the differences between The Oscars and The Cannes Film Festival. While both ceremonies give recognition to films and the talented individuals involved in their creation, there are still distinct qualities about the two.

To start, the trophies are different in appearance - one is a statue of a human and the other is a palme d’or. However, they both represent a big win.

The #Selfie is important - at least to one of the shows. In 2014, Ellen Degeneres got a bunch of celebs together for a giant, amazing selfie at The Oscars. Unfortunately, phones are banned  at Cannes. #noselfiesallowed

While there are many differences between the two, this infographic did find one similar aspect - Leonardo DiCaprio.

What was your favourite film at Festival de Cannes 2015?
