360 Degrees of LFW by Village

By Allen Chung on April 5, 2016

Pushed to engage a new generation of tech savvy fashion followers, London-based creative communications agency Village has launched a series of immersive 360 degree videos of their work during London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2016.

Village, who represents big British labels such as Ashish, Holly Fulton, Peter Jensen and the iconic Zandra Rhodes recently shot footage at each of the fashion presentations to create the experiential content. Available on Youtube and meant to be viewed on virtual reality headset, Oculus Rift, the footage gives worldwide audiences the ability to become part of the shows.

360 degree content seems to be a growing trend for fashion media, being used at recent New York and Paris Fashion Weeks as we previously reported. While nothing quite compares to seeing each garment on the runway to press, buyers, and others in the industry, this technology will certainly elevate the status of any brand that chooses to jump on the bandwagon.
