LA Designer James Flemons is Redefining Sustainable Denim with Phlemuns

By Lucky Garcia on April 28, 2016

Young, LA-based designer James Flemons presents an avant-gaurde flair for fashion by keeping clothing gender fluid and sustainable. To say James is an up and coming designer is an understatement; he is a one man show on the rise. James is quickly gaining popularity not only for his ethical and environmentally-safe practices, but for his modern take on reworked, vintage-inspired clothing.

What makes this collection stand out? James has been featured in Dazed, I-D, Elle and did a recent visual featuring the collection for Saint Heron collective, ran by Solange Knowles.

The collection first began with James’s denim reworking garments, showcasing new modern patchwork. The collection has now truly grown to include carefully recycled, curated pieces. However his denim look has become a favorite among celebs and is a current must have item for this collection.

The spring/summer 2016 line is a mixed media collection, including nylons, taffeta and denim and other recycled pieces. Our favorite part of the collection the subtle 90’s vibe and androgynous feel. We can’t wait to see what Phlemuns has in store this fashion season. Explore the collection and visual campaign collaboration with No)One. Art House and Saint Heron collective.
