H&M collaborated with pop-artist Alex Katz for a stunning event at Art Basel this year and it was nothing short of legendary. Celebrating the launch of the Fashion Loves Art collaboration this collection is a display for true art lovers and is showcased at Miami Beach EDITION. This swanky and intimate dinner is held annually for renowned artists. The event was hosted by Co-Founder & Co-Editor in Chief of Paper Magazine Kim Hastreiter, supermodel Karolina Kurkova, gallerists Thaddaeus Ropac and Gavin Brown, and artist Hope Atherton.
H&M is fashions top brand collaborator, with past artists capsule collections featuring Jeff Koons in 2014 on a limited-edition bag including a picture of his famous Puppy Dog sculpture and Alexander Wang designer collaboration. This current, capsule collection includes his works on womenswear, menswear, accessories, and home décor. Famous and popular Alex Katz figurative portraits including Brisk Day (1990), were the stars of the show are were seen on key trend silhouettes, such as mock neck, hoodies, cami style and long slip dresses.
Talk about a killer capsule collection and star-studded event, featuring H&M, Paper Magazine and Alex Katz, accompanied by Karolina Kurkova. The industries top and upcoming artist in music and art gathered for this kickoff event to Art Basel 2016. This year’s Fashion Loves Art party was filled with some our favorite models and influencers in the current art and music scene; London Zhiloh, Twin Dj’s and Producer duo Angel + Dren, Shaun Ross, Bau Dunn, Heron Preston, Christian Cowan-Sanluis, Drew Elliot, Lindsey Puccio, Shei Phan.
Nelly Furtado also held a special and rare performance. Along with this killer squad at the party, viral worthy selfies and a stunning capsule collection in warm tones and vivid colors, was the highlight of the night. While Alex Katz was the true star of the event, we can’t get enough of the artist with old and new friends in candid and cool selfie moments. While H&M’s Fashion Loves Art event took place to honor one of our top American Artists, they also found time to spread some holiday cheer, by releasing a new campaign featuring Adrian Brody in a perfect holiday story of love and keeping the dream of Christmas alive.
