This is Parcel

By Diana Pasgas on August 24, 2016

Online shopping is the best. There’s no getting around it: thanks to technology, you can shop at all of your favourite retailers without leaving your house. You don’t even have to leave your couch! You can shop for hours, compare prices, and search to the ends of the world wide web for your next purchase.

But sometimes it gets messy and that’s where Parcel comes in.

If you’ve ever been guilty of just filling your cart with whatever items you like and then balking at the total, you’re not alone. We’ve definitely been there. $600 worth of denim and shoes at Zara. Lost count of how much stuff you were hoarding on ASOS. The worst part is when there are five or six separate carts filled to the brim on five or six different e-commerce sites; how can you possibly keep track of what you really want and what you just might like? Enter Parcel.

Parcel is your new online shopping best friend. The new online organizational tool allows you to create a style-board which essentially works as a shopping list. Pick an occasion or a reason, whether it be collecting things to decorate a room, an outfit for a wedding, or picking up some necessities for travel, you can keep track of what you want to purchase (and inevitably do end up purchasing) through Parcel.

The best part about Parcel is that unlike Pinterest, where you can merely save links for later reference, Parcel allows you to set a budget. Even better, it keeps track as you keep shopping. This is ideal for eliminating items; maybe you don’t need that $79 bomber jacket this fall when it’s going to eat up your entire budget. Can you say convenient? Forget calculators; you won’t need them here.

Parcel allows you to download a handy little extension for your web browser, meaning that with a click of a button, you can save items to your boards at any time. Then you can go back later and revise, getting rid of items that are sold out or that will put you way over budget. You can even mark things as Definitely, Maybe, or Bought, allowing you to rank what your heart desires most and what you just might like if you have a little extra cash.

Currently, Parcel is invite only, but never fear: we’ve got your back here at FASHIONOTES. Simply follow this link to sign up. You won’t regret it.
