Say What You Wanna Say with Say Wearables

By Diana Pasgas on August 17, 2016

Ever take an Instagram picture so great you wish you could display it everywhere? With Say Wearables, now you can.

It was only a matter of time before someone combined social media and wearables into one cool gadget and it looks like Say Wearables has beat everyone to the punch. Say has created wearable tech accessories, such as the Say Necklace, which allows you to display images, videos, and other visual content around your neck. If you’ve ever had one of those days where you just don’t feel like talking to someone, now you can upload an annoyed GIF to your Say Necklace and let everyone know to back off.

Of course, if you’re feeling a little more chipper you could upload one that says as much, too.

The Say Necklace is a small device measuring 42mm x 32mm and looks like a tiny little TV screen. It has colour display, connects to Bluetooth, and is compatible with both iOS and Android. Perhaps best of all, it has a three day battery life. Finally, one less charger to drag around!

Say comes with a corresponding app that allows you to select moods (see, it’s all about showing how your feelings!), celebrate occasions (tell everyone that it is your birthday!), or even display what you’re listening to. Once you’ve logged into the app and synced it up with your Say device, you’ll be able to create your Say Media channel. Similar to any social network, you can create your own following, connect with friends and celebrities, and share your favourite content all through one little wearable device.

The Say Wearables team has raised a round of seed funding from executives at Google and Facebook (talk about landing those heavy hitters) and are preparing to launch later this year. In the meantime, you can head over to their website and pre-order Say now.

In the meantime, get your GIFs and your ‘grams ready.
